July 2024, Update

Airsoft season is reaching its peak during the summer months. We’re stepping up our game and reaching as many players and organisers as possible face to face. While Airsofter World is an online platform it’s bringing us together on the fields to play our game as we like it.

- Events, Update 03

The first part of the update has been received well by organisers. With the extra option to add a link to their own event page, more organisers get familiar with Airsofter World and fill the calendar and location map for players to find the event they like to go to.
We’re still gathering funds to complete Phase 3 of the organisers roadmap. Phase 3 is still our highest priority to bring all organisers to one platform. Step by step we will finish this phase to move over to the next priority.

- New Countries added to the network

The last months we grew the network with new airsoft countries joining Airsofter World. Besides airsofting countries we also made contact with Australia, where airsoft is not legal. The reason behind Airsofter World and the network is to be stronger and be able to make an impact. By joining forces we will have a larger impact and help countries in need by sharing knowledge and experience.

Besides the new countries we grew different teams in countries already added before. By growing the team we strengthen the connection in that country because the teams are made from people from different parts of the country and bring them together and start to communicate about the status of their countries.

- International Federation

Airsofter World has created an intensive network with airsoft countries. Some of them have an established airsoft association, some are building one and some don’t have one yet. We’re using this connection not only to help associations in their building phase but also to create an international federation that some countries need to finalise the process of the creation of their association. Step by step we get closer to the creation of this federation and create this needed legal entity for airsoft around the world.

- Analytics

We’re steady at about 3000 users visiting Airsofter World each month. While there is not significant growth, there is a change in countries though. We see a decline in some countries and a growth in Sweden and the United States.

We’re at 11315 users and growing steady at about 1% of users each month. A steady growth is important for the stability of Airsofter World.

Sweden managed to triple their amount of organisers posting events. Some organisers use the registration system and others link to their own ticket sites. Good job Sweden, let’s keep on bringing in more organisers in the coming months.

- Calendar Update

The amount of organisers around the world is growing, which also means the amount of events and different types of events is growing. With growth comes extra problems and issues that we need to fix or at least put our attention to.

The calendar is one of those things where we want your feedback about. Right now the calendar has a few different views if you’re logged in.

Country, Region and World view
A list of events ranked by date. It shows 5 events with the option of showing more. Depending on the area you search on you will see different events. There is no filter option for a specific type of event or region.

Calendar view
A list of blocks with events on a timeline. You can filter on country, region, city or gametype. You can view it on a monthly, weekly or yearly calendar.

On our socials and Airsofter World, we will make a post about it so you can give your feedback on how you like to use the calendar in the future. Give your opinion about the filter options, type of calendar view, …

We’re gathering funds to get the app back online, but right now we focus on the desktop version of Airsofter World. But we’re collecting feedback on how you would like to see the calendar in the app.

- Support from Companies

Airsofter World is free to use for airsofters. A small fee is asked from organisers to add events to update the features and event section. So getting support from companies that believe in Airsofter World is very important to be able to update and keep Airsofter World running.

Airsofter World is a place where every aspect of Airsoft comes together in a harmonious balance. Manufacturers are able to post their newest products to an audience consisting only of airsoft enthusiasts. Reaching their target audience immediately. While the user base is growing every day, so is the support of the companies. We’re thankful for the following companies to support us in our journey.

- Airsofter World Games

International mission based airsoft competition where all the elements in the Airsoft community work together.

We’re well on track in 2024 to have multiple countries running test games, which looks very promising to have national games in 2025 and the first international competition in 2026.

- Norway
While Airsofter World is providing information for all airsoft enthusiasts, we’re working together in the background to keep airsoft safe and legal. As some of you know, it’s not possible to play airsoft outdoors in Norway. Together with the associations and manufacturers we’re supporting Norway with all means possible to make sure they can start playing airsoft again as soon as possible.
