Last weekend, the first congress of the European Airsoft Federation, EAF, took place in the Netherlands. The decisions made during the congress shape the EAF’s roadmap for the coming years and shape the future of airsoft in Europe. Dan and myself represented the Swedish Airsoft Federation, SASF.
The European Airsoft Federation continues international cooperation, exchange of experiences and knowledge, participation in European events and further development of airsoft as a sport in Europe and in Sweden.
During the congress, fundamental pillars were adopted.
- A legal and governing framework was established with the election of a diverse democratically elected board of directors from the Netherlands, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovakia.
- The adoption of internal operational protocols and financial models.
- The start of various working groups such as the European Championship, environmental impact and economic framework.
With SASF we would like to congratulate the newly elected board members and thank the Dutch NABV for hosting this first EAF congress.
