My Baofeng DM-32! A super cool radio which does analog, digital DMR, APRS and many more helpful features!
To start, this is not as simple as a Baofeng UV-5R, it has quite a learning curve for programming. But once everything works and connects, the quality and range is superb! The looks of the radio is based on the Motorla APX5000. The speaker is on the back, but the audio is very hearable even with the speaker being on the back. The radio lacks a belt clip, but it can easily fit in any mag pouch or in a radio pouch.
It has many useful features, such as the classic sub channel mode, 4 programmable buttons but also USB-C connection for charging, a Kenwood accessories plug and a rather large battery.
Personally I am very pleased with the digital aspect of the radio, super clear audio over long distances and the possibility to send messages to other DMR radios.
I’ve customised the loading screen with a custom logo!
I haven’t got the time to extensively test and see what the radio can do in the field, but it sure did already make me happy!

Yes! They have been releasing some super awesome radios lately! This one also has a recording function, which is mostly cool, but useful for saving unheard messages. Also you can see who's sending if you use digital, and you can use private call mode. Combine that with AES-256 encryption and your messages will be super secure!

Boafeng has a lot more radio than I knew about. New models keep popping up everywhere. Very interesting stuff.
